In short

  • We collect what you enter on the waitlist form or send us by email, plus the technical data any website receives.
  • We use it to write to you about Monition and to decide which firms to serve first.
  • Our form provider, host and email provider handle it for us. We never sell it.
  • No cookies of our own, no analytics, no advertising.
  • To see, correct or delete your details, write to [contact email].

Who we are

Monition is run by [legal entity], [registered address] (“we”). We are the controller of your details under data protection law.

This notice covers this website and its waitlist. It does not cover the Monition product, which is covered by each firm’s own agreement.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your full name, work email, firm and role. We need these to consider your firm for an invitation.

Everything else on the form is optional: your firm’s size, its practice areas, where it keeps its contacts and relationships, where most of its new work comes from, and a message. The contacts question records a preference only. Monition receives nothing from the tools listed there.

If you email us, we receive your message. When you load a page or send the form, our host and form provider receive the technical data your browser sends, such as your IP address.

We collect nothing about you from other sources. Please keep confidential client information out of the form and your emails.

Why we use it

  • To decide which firms to serve first and what to build, from what you tell us about your firm.Legal basis: our legitimate interest in offering Monition to law firms.

We don’t sell your details, use them for advertising or make automated decisions about you.

Who receives it

Only the service providers that run this site and our email, each using your details only to provide its service to us:

  • Formspree, our form provider, receives what you send through the form and passes it to us.
  • Vercel hosts this website and receives the technical data described above.
  • [email provider] hosts our email, where form entries and your messages arrive.

No one else receives your details unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details and emails until [12 months after you join the waitlist], or until you ask us to delete them, if that is sooner. Then we delete every copy, including those held by our form provider and in our email.

Our host keeps its technical logs for [log retention period].

International transfers

Our service providers may process your details in other countries, whose data protection laws may differ from yours. Where the law requires a safeguard for this, we rely on [transfer safeguard]. You can ask us for details at [contact email].

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the details we hold about you and give you a copy
  • correct or delete them
  • restrict how we use them
  • send them to you, or to someone you choose, in a machine-readable format
  • stop any use that relies on our legitimate interests

You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by leaving the waitlist. This doesn’t affect what we did before. Every email we send about Monition includes a way to stop hearing from us.

To use any of these rights, write to [contact email]. It’s free, and we reply within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, in particular where you live, where you work or where you think the problem happened.

Our host may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it checks that traffic is not an automated attack. It isn’t used to track you.

When we change this notice, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you’ve already given us, we’ll email you first.
